Great finds on the internet from this weekend:
I really liked this article, When Your Mother Says She's Fat. "When did fat become a feeling anyway?" Great question.
A little obsessed with this skirt but both the price tag and the reviews are scaring me away. I've seen so many tutorials for tulle skirts on Pinterest, perhaps I'll have to try to make my own version?
The fantastic Rachel May Clarke posted photos of Jeff and I on her blog, check them out here. She takes such gorgeous pictures...can hardly believe that is us!
I loved that article about when your mother says she's fat. Everything she says about how we equate our self-worth with our weight is true. I certainly hope that I didn't give you that message when you were younger or even now. Health is important but we must remember we are so much more than just our bodies.
ReplyDeleteAnd the photos of you and Jeff are beautiful!
Oh my gosh Linnea! that tulle skit. To die for. I don't have the sewing skills, nor the wallet to purchase it. Thank you for making me droooool! Adorable pic of you and jeff. I just love your blog.
ReplyDeleteMom - no, you were definitely always a great example of self-worth and healthy ideas about body image. Although I do think I got my idea that my nose looks like a ski jump from you... ;)
ReplyDeleteErin - I'm going to figure out how to make that skirt for cheap, and I will teach you how to do it!!
That was such a sweet article. I need to remember to focus less on my body and more on being healthy. It really would make life a lot happier!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! THose photos of you and jeff! Breathtaking! You are so pretty linnea, you have just such a beautiful smile, eyes, teeth... etc. ha! Sorry if that is weird. AND i'm loving your bangs. now onto reading that article. I'm intrigued.
ReplyDeleteLinnea, Finally found the time to visit your blogs...these are gorgeous portraits of you and your love. What I would give to have something similar of my hubby and myself! What treasures these portraits are! Beautiful!
